About Me
Originally from the Mid-west (USA) I'm currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. My husband, Jeff, and I live a quiet, peaceful life in a happy yellow house -- just a hop, skip and a jump from my lovely daughter, who is an accomplished cellist and one of my "bestest" besties.
In our spare time, my husband and I enjoy picnics and playing music together, especially English country dance music, Beatles songs and other classic rock on electric guitar (George Harrison solos are my specialty). We also play mandolin (he's much better than me) and ukulele (which he also plays much better than me!). I play classical piano, I have a master's degree in music composition, I'm currently attempting to learn cello at the ripe age of 60, and, perhaps most impressively, I make an excellent cup of coffee!
Being "retired" from my long-time (very fun) career as a professional nanny, I'm grateful to now be able to completely devote my time to art (and to sit down once in a while!). I enjoy infusing my widely varied experiences into my illustrations and character sketches, which results in a playful art style filled with youthful energy and humor...and more creative ideas than my pencil can keep up with!
Though I no longer nanny full-time, I still enjoy spending time with my former nanny charges for occasional "play-dates" and "arty days". I truly believe that the secret to joy is maintaining a youthful heart and a playful imagination. It's true that kids keep us young, but even more importantly -- you're NEVER too old to be a kid!
